The Spirit-filled writing of the Apostles makes up a large amount of the whole of the New Testament.  These epistles (letters) were written to encourage and instruct the faithful men and women who lived heroic for the passing on of the "faith once delivered to the saints."  Paul, abundant in revelation and wisdom; Peter, forewarning of false prophets and heretical teaching; John, the writer of love and revelator of the "end-times;" as well as the Pastoral epistles to Timothy and Titus; along with James and Jude... each one proclaiming the truth that makes up the foundation for building and battling in this, the church age!
