The Prophets of the Old Testament were used as vessels of God to cry against the spiritual conditions that prevailed in the age of which they lived.  As is common to all faith-filled believers, their influence has continued to impact all generations that follow them.  These men are "champions of faith," and, as noted by the Apostle Peter, their testimony is...  "holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."

  Society, today, yearns for men who will rise from the rudiments of this world to be men of God, men of resolve and worthy leadership, men whose stand finds them firmly planted in Biblical convictions, men who proclaim Christ to a world devoid of him!  Many such God-fearing men, of years past, have been introduced to multitudes of children through Sunday School Bible stories.  Surely, the names of some of these characters are not strange to us.  Daniel, for example, remained true to his faith in the Almighty and trusted his very life to God while carnivorous lions lurk around him in their den.  Another such man, Jonah, through his rebellion to the will of God, was thrown into the raging seas.  This wandering, wondering, wet Prophet found himself swallowed by a whale, a perilous feat God would use for Jonah to be brought to repentance.  Through his new-found obedience and in warning the Ninevites of their impending destruction, God would temporarily save that nations' existance.
