God used the Prophets of the Old Testament age to warn Israel about their impending disobedience to his Word. He knew of their tendency to allow sin to stand in the way of Divine fellowship and joy. Hence, they would suffer a harsh realization that spiritual blindness and enemy overthrow would characterize their existance for many generations to come. Although the threat of public hatred and physical mistreatment was always looming around their business for the King of Heaven, the Major Prophets of Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel earnestly sought to proclaim the "Word from the Lord!" The messages they delivered brought great suffering in their souls over the poor spiritual condition of God's people. Surely, they considered, Israel would repent and return to her Lord. The scene described here is not uncommon, even today. The Lord has sent joyful utterances, through his eternal, unchanging Word, the King James Bible, that promises and untold benefit await those born-again believers who are found guilty of obeying the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Let's read along in these Books of the Bible this month to have our hearts challenged by the Word of God as we follow God in our journey to Heaven. Reaffirm the truths, that are taught by the Lord in his Word, by taking a few moments to answer the questions that have been given in the "Daily Bible Study Quiz." You can grow considerably in your knowledge of the Bible by investing just a few minutes daily with the Lord. Glory to God!!
